Supporting Israel's Soldiers
Terri's Angels is a 100% volunteer-run organization founded by cousins Terri Ackerman in New York and Yael Levy in Israel. We work in partnership with the Suffolk Y Jewish Community Center (SYJCC) to receive tax-deductible monetary donations to purchase critical supplies, equipment, meals, and support to Israeli soldiers and civilians in need.
Every donation goes directly toward helping those on the front lines.
From tactical equipment and emergency supplies to supporting Lone Soldiers, Terri's Angels is committed to making a direct impact where it is needed most.

Thank You from the Dog Unit
The Israel Dog Unit (IDU) is a civilian nonprofit based in Samaria that operates across Israel with trained dogs, drones and volunteer search teams for search-and-rescue and community security. The IDU often works alongside the IDF, Israel Police and other emergency services, responding to rescue and security incidents 24/7.
Terri's Angels responded - of course! - and that drone was funded in only hours, with the help of the matching funds from our anonymous donor. It was funded SO FAST that the request went out on August 3 and the drone was delivered on August 4.
You Angels must have really surprised the IDU!
Their dogs search the land. Their drones search the sky. They came back and asked: Could we help them get the ability to search underwater?
They asked Terri’s Angels to help provide an underwater search-and-rescue drone with a robotic claw, currently costing $1,519. This specialized drone will give the IDU another lifesaving search tool, allowing volunteers to search beneath the surface in areas that may be difficult or dangerous for divers to access.

Meteorological Service issues red alert for Jordan Valley and Dead Sea regions as temperatures remain well above seasonal norms
We heard from the units that they are becoming drained from the heat, given all their equipment and activities. Terri's Angels purchased FOUR portable air conditioning units to distribute.

Terri's Angels,
We are × soldiers in tiny cube guard posts all around the old city. Last night, one of our commanders from the past brought us an unbelievable donation from Terri’s Angels; *mobile air-conditioners*!!!
We actually cried ( I guess we are not so tough!!) We read the *beautiful notes of love attached and cried*. It means so much to us that people on the other side of the world appreciate us, care for us and what we are doing for the country it is over 104° in this closed, bullet proof cubic, and the donation we received was a DREAM THAT CAME TRUE

More than $20,000 worth of supplies and equipment have been purchased directly in Israel for quick delivery to units. Did Someone Say "Drone"?
Another unit needs an Air 3 drone with extra batteries. These drones are purchased IN ISRAEL. This means not only are we supporting the economy but we can get a funded drone to the unit requesting as soon as it's funded.
Perhaps you wonder why there are so many requests for drones. Just a few short weeks ago we heard from a unit. Their drone was destroyed by "protecting" them - exactly why drones are used. Their words:
Today, our unit was preparing to enter what appeared to be an empty building to carry out a mission. To be certain it was empty, we sent the drone inside first. Within seconds, terrorists hiding inside shot down the drone and rushed outside, trying (unsuccessfully) to find the soldiers operating it!

Why Do We Keep Sending Watches???
"So more than once, I was asked why requesting watches for my unit is not luxury and pampering... so let me explain some facts:
• The war has not ended( for those who still believe we are at ceasefire )
• Every single day we look and find new tunnels... up north and down south. That's a big part of our missions
• Sometimes we are in a tunnel for days without our cellphones, and have no idea what time it is, that’s why watches are needed. Simple watches for just a few dollars.
We received this text from a commander, along with a picture of some (150 unpacked so far) of the hundreds of watches that were sent from the Chesed Center in the 5 Towns. (New York):
Yes, g-shocks are better quality, last longer and more reliable if they fall, get sand in them, or water.. but any simple watch will do. Thank you.

Patti, Cena & our anonymous donor for purchasing an $800 oven/stove for a commander up north. When the dealer heard that the IDF was the recipient he threw in a microwave for free!

We are also incredibly grateful Gully, who picks up drones and other donations from Yael’s “War Room”—the storage room in her home—and delivers them to units throughout Israel. He also takes wonderful videos so our donors can see the difference their generosity is making!
Thank you as well to all our recent passengers, including participants from three different Birthright groups. We have sent 22 suitcases in just the past few weeks!
A huge thank-you to Yael’s enthusiastic 18-year-old volunteer, Elimelech, who has been driving all over Israel to pick up suitcases from the airport—even meeting a passenger at 4:00 a.m.—and from hotels in Tel Aviv, then delivering them to units throughout Israel. He says he wants to do as many mitzvot as possible before entering the army!

Medical Request
Terri's Angels Co-Founder Yael Levy spoke with an IDF major who serves in the Syria-Lebanon sector. He oversees the combat medics in northern Israel. He approached Yael to ask for help from Terri's Angels to purchase a Butterfly IQ3 - a handheld ultrasound device.
The Butterfly ultrasound, which is small enough to fit in a pocket, enables medics to identify quickly internal bleeding, collapsed lungs, fractures, and other life-threatening injuries on the battlefield - CRITICAL information that cannot be detected by the human-eye alone. Those precious minutes can mean the difference between life and death.
The major shared that he thought 5 soldiers who died in the past month might have survived had their medics been equipped with this technology. If this device can save even one life it is vital to get it into the medics.

Terri's Angels Israel Mission
The Terri's Angels Israel Mission is more than just a trip; it is a profound journey of solidarity and support. You will be making personal connections with IDF soldiers and the people supporting them.
From October 19–25, 2026, our community will travel to IDF bases and local centers to provide direct aid and deliver needed equipment. This mission focuses on delivering strategic and tactical equipment, funding morale-boosting BBQs, and addressing the daily living needs of those defending the Jewish homeland.
Our tour is 100% customized for Terri's Angels, giving you experiences not found on standard tours. We visit civilian emergency centers, IDF bases, volunteer with organizations providing food, education, and school supplies. In addition to the soul-uplifting volunteering you will have a chance to shop, dine and see historic sites.
Notes of Love is an initiative created to remind IDF soldiers that they are not forgotten and they are not alone. Inspired by seeing the powerful impact of handwritten messages on soldiers in Israel, Notes of Love began under Terri's Angels - Duffel Bags for Israel as a way for people of all ages to connect with IDF Soldiers.
