Supporting Israel's Soldiers
Terri's Angels is a 100% volunteer-run organization founded by cousins Terri Ackerman in New York and Yael Levy in Israel. We work in partnership with the Suffolk Y Jewish Community Center (SYJCC) to receive tax-deductible monetary donations to purchase critical supplies, equipment, meals, and support to Israeli soldiers and civilians in need.
There is ZERO overhead. Every donation goes directly toward helping those on the front lines.
From tactical equipment and emergency supplies to supporting Lone Soldiers, Terri's Angels is committed to making a direct impact where it is needed most.
A Look at What We Do
🇮🇱. Urgent request for items on our Amazon list!! That's the call that went out on THURSDAY!
Rabbi Tracy Kaplowitz was leading a “Volunteer Israel for Reform Jews” Birthright group leaving on MONDAY. If we could order from our Amazon Registry for delivery by Sunday, we could send the items with the Birthright participants who would take extra suitcases.
The request was published in WhatsApp and Facebook with the link to our Amazon Registry, with the “Most Needed” items listed at the top of the list with the quantities currently requested.
Within 10 MINUTES the first order was placed!! By Sunday over 50 orders had been received, many containing multiple items. Our volunteers packed the suitcases and we have 2 more volunteers bringing the suitcases to the participants at the airport. Imagine our delight when we found more Birthright volunteers leaving on Wednesday! :) Late-arriving gifts made it on THAT flight!

Urgent request for this week
We have received many new requests from IDF commanders for kosher electrolyte tablets and powders to help prevent dehydration, as well as hydration backpacks and hydration bladders (shlookerim) for soldiers serving in the field.
The good news is that we have several passengers flying to Israel this month who have generously offered to bring these much-needed supplies in their luggage!
Every gift makes a difference. Even a $9 hydration bladder can help keep a soldier hydrated while serving in Israel's intense summer heat.
PLEASE include a personal gift message with your purchase. Your words of encouragement mean just as much as the supplies themselves. We aren't just sending electrolytes and hydration bladders—we're sending love, appreciation, and support to the brave men and women protecting Israel.

Special Carmeli Unit shirt with Terri's Angels Logo!
Because of the excitement surrounding this raffle, Yael was able to secure 9 additional authentic Golani Carmeli workout shirts in a variety of sizes (Small - XXL), increasing the number of winners from 3 to 12!
These exclusive workout shirts were designed by the Golani Carmeli commanders for their unit after they received special permission to incorporate the Terri's Angels logo. The shirts represent the special bond between the Golani Carmeli unit and the Terri's Angels family, whose supporters have stood by them since October 7, 2023.
100% of raffle proceeds will help Commander Raz and Commander Naftali's unit purchase a Mobile Drone & Communications Command Center.

The person whose winning ticket is drawn first will have first choice of the available shirt sizes. Each subsequent winner will choose from the remaining available sizes until all 12 shirts have been claimed.
The three Medium shirts are already in the U.S. The remaining shirts are currently in Israel and will be brought to the U.S. by upcoming travelers before being shipped or delivered. Shirts may be picked up locally or mailed within the U.S. at the winner's expense.

The October 2025 Terri’s Angels trip participants met and bonded with 2 commanders and 2 soldiers from the Carmeli Unit of the Golani Brigade when we hosted them at our Shabbat dinner. While we were still in Israel we learned they were stationed in Gaza, sleeping on the ground. Within a week we raised the money to buy them sleeping bags AND air mattresses and got them delivered in Gaza. The unit wanted to show their appreciation and they got SPECIAL PERMISSION for their unit to wear custom t-shirts with the Terri’s Angels logo on it, along with their Golani emblem. We raised money to buy 110 Golani soldiers shirts with the Terri’s Angels logo!

Terri's Angels Co-Founder Yael Levy spoke with an IDF major who serves in the Syria-Lebanon sector. He oversees the combat medics in northern Israel. He approached Yael to ask for help from Terri's Angels to purchase a Butterfly IQ3 - a handheld ultrasound device.
The Butterfly ultrasound, which is small enough to fit in a pocket, enables medics to identify quickly internal bleeding, collapsed lungs, fractures, and other life-threatening injuries on the battlefield - CRITICAL information that cannot be detected by the human-eye alone. Those precious minutes can mean the difference between life and death.
The major shared that he thought 5 soldiers who died in the past month might have survived had their medics been equipped with this technology. If this device can save even one life it is vital to get it into the medics.

Terri's Angels Israel Mission
The Terri's Angels Israel Mission is more than just a trip; it is a profound journey of solidarity and support. You will be making personal connections with IDF soldiers and the people supporting them.
From October 19–25, 2026, our community will travel to IDF bases and local centers to provide direct aid and deliver needed equipment. This mission focuses on delivering strategic and tactical equipment, funding morale-boosting BBQs, and addressing the daily living needs of those defending the Jewish homeland.
Our tour is 100% customized for Terri's Angels, giving you experiences not found on standard tours. We visit civilian emergency centers, IDF bases, volunteer with organizations providing food, education, and school supplies. In addition to the soul-uplifting volunteering you will have a chance to shop, dine and see historic sites.

Notes of Love is an initiative created to remind IDF soldiers that they are not forgotten and they are not alone. Inspired by seeing the powerful impact of handwritten messages on soldiers in Israel, Notes of Love began under Terri's Angels - Duffel Bags for Israel as a way for people of all ages to connect with IDF Soldiers.
